The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the account receivable of assigned insurance categories, ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collecting on outstanding claims for assigned payors
  • Researching and resolving denials, refilling corrected claims, and investigating unprocessed claims
  • Refunding credit balances for assigned payors and monitoring reimbursement to ensure contracted fee schedules are followed
  • Reporting issues with claims processing, such as bundling and charge limits, and issuing appeals to payors for incorrectly processed claims
  • Providing support to the data entry department and customer service team
  • Collaborating with other team members and the Director to achieve team goals

Requirements for this role include:

  • High school graduate
  • 1-3 years of experience in a medical billing office and collections
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, MS Outlook, and Excel
