Position Overview

SAIC is in search of a Systems Architecture SETA to play a pivotal role in the LANDMARK AOS program. This program is integral to supporting the Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED) in the comprehensive acquisition of systems throughout their entire life cycle.

As a Systems Architecture SETA, your responsibilities will encompass providing technical and acquisition support to deliver innovative solutions. You will concentrate on the development and implementation of essential hardware and software solutions that facilitate data distribution aligned with mission objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify critical architecture and system-level trade-offs.
  • Evaluate the performance of existing and prospective architectural concepts.
  • Offer technical and programmatic advice regarding architecture and system-level requirements.
  • Prepare presentations for senior leadership.
  • Engage regularly with internal stakeholders, government entities, SETA, FFRDC, and other external parties.
  • Facilitate collaborative summits, workshops, and technical discussions among senior government officials, management teams, and technical experts to ensure alignment on strategic vision, capability management, mission organization, and solution architecture development.
  • Develop and integrate analytical methodologies and tools to assess program and mission strategic concepts, influencing solution designs concerning cost, schedule, performance, risk, and resilience to potential disruptions.
  • Advise on the enterprise architecture landscape, covering technology, information, data, security, and integration.
  • Create technology strategy and planning documents to mitigate risks and address technology gaps.
  • Formulate strategies and roadmaps for enterprise architecture solutions.
  • Build relationships with internal and external developers to enhance understanding of network challenges and articulate detailed technical issues to an executive audience.
  • Support operational systems by acting as a trusted intermediary to proactively resolve technical challenges among developers, stakeholders, and program leadership.
  • Provide guidance to senior and technical personnel to ensure the delivery of robust, scalable software architecture that meets or exceeds data distribution needs.
  • Optimize data management across nodes and enhance the performance of distribution, search, and retrieval processes.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and assess scaling benchmarks.
  • Support systems engineering efforts throughout the program life cycle.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with nine (9) years of relevant experience; Master's degree with seven (7) years of experience; or PhD/JD with four (4) years of experience. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience directly supporting data architecture and solution initiatives, with a solid understanding of Systems Engineering and Acquisition processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise network engineering and/or network operations.
  • Familiarity with various computing and operating systems (OS), on-premises hardware, and cloud computing platforms, including Linux, Windows, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Project management expertise to facilitate seamless cloud migrations and new system integrations.
  • Understanding of Agile Project Management methodologies.
  • Strong customer service and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team.
  • Proven ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
