Respiratory Therapist

HCA Florida Lake City Hospital offers a rewarding career opportunity as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Our hospital is a 113-bed acute care facility serving Columbia, Hamilton, and Suwannee counties.
We are committed to delivering high-quality patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of our department. As a vital part of our patient care team, you will perform diagnostic tests, administer respiratory therapies, and monitor patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.
What You Will Do:
- Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy
- Administer oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation
- Monitor patient for therapeutic response and notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response
