Overview

The Video Applications Quality Assurance team at Apple is seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer in Test. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality of our innovative video editing tools designed for creative professionals and visual storytellers.

Key Responsibilities

As a Software Development Engineer in Test, your primary duties will include:
  • Developing, planning, and executing both manual and automated test cases utilizing Python and/or Swift.
  • Enhancing quality assurance processes and implementing improvements to ensure robust feature releases.
  • Identifying and documenting bugs with precision, employing advanced isolation and regression techniques.
  • Managing multiple priorities effectively while communicating progress and potential risks to the team.
  • Continuously expanding your knowledge in video and photo technologies, as well as new testing methodologies.
  • Collaborating with team members to coordinate comprehensive testing efforts across various functions.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in software automation or development.
  • Expertise in testing mobile and desktop applications, frameworks, and backend APIs.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or Swift.
  • A thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle and quality assurance processes.
  • Experience with audio and media technologies.
  • Familiarity with video and photo editing tools.
  • Proficiency in both iOS and macOS environments.
