About the Role:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the overall maintenance of the apartment building and all areas related to the day-to-day maintenance operations of the community, under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting tasks to ensure the building's infrastructure is in good condition.
- Repair and maintain structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls, and building exteriors.
- Prepare units for occupancy by completing make-ready tasks.
- Repair and maintain appliances to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Provide 24-hour emergency maintenance services to residents.
- Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to ensure the building's systems are running efficiently.
- Perform grounds work, including picking up trash, sweeping, and light landscaping.
- Coordinate special projects as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with residents, visitors, contractors, and fellow employees.
- Ensure all necessary tools are available to complete tasks effectively.
- Follow oral and written instructions and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.
