Physical Therapist I

California Correctional Health Care Services is seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist I to join our team in a correctional facility setting. As a Physical Therapist I, you will be responsible for administering physical therapy treatments and active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatment to patients in a correctional facility.

• Administer physical therapy treatments and active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatment to patients in a correctional facility.
• Interpret to patients the significance of physical therapy services.
• Comply with all applicable State and federal laws and regulations and departmental policies and procedures pertaining to the physical therapy program.
• Maintain order and supervise the conduct of inmates, and maintain the safety of persons and property and the security of working areas and work materials.

• Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of physical therapy in California as determined by the California Medical Board.
• Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).

Travel is required.

• The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired.
