About the Role

The Senior Manager, Enterprise Payments Product Management is a key position in the American Express organization, responsible for defining the product strategy and roadmap to deliver a best-in-class enterprise payment service. This role will play a central part in the Enterprise Payments COE, driving a multi-year program to accelerate the development of enterprise payment services and redesign the operating model surrounding it.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define the product vision and strategy for A2A/money movement products and services used across American Express.
  • Evaluate market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to identify opportunities to enhance the product value proposition.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and partners to understand customer needs, collaborate on new product concepts, and co-develop solutions to deliver on Enterprise goals.
  • Understand evolving market regulations to inform the product strategy and achieve business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage existing payment capabilities to deliver value for new use cases or markets.
  • Leverage external industry data and internal product metrics to inform product strategies.
  • Deliver go-to-market strategy, including operationalization plans, commercialization strategy, value proposition articulation, and ongoing metrics to measure benefits realized.
  • Own, update, and prioritize the product roadmap, including new capabilities, features, services, expanded markets, product integrations, and decommissioned products.
  • Develop robust business cases to support prioritization of roadmap items.
  • Collaborate with Product owners to align on product roadmap, including new product features and enhanced services, as required to deliver on the overarching strategy.
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Relevant experience in product management, product development, management consulting, and/or strategy, with an MBA preferred.
  • Passion for payments, including emerging payments, fintechs, and the evolving payments landscape.
  • Results-oriented, with a passion to drive strategies to deliver results in a dynamic and highly matrixed environment.
  • Intellectual curiosity, with a high-intellectual curiosity, out-of-the-box, creative, and critical thinker with experience in complex problem-solving and strategic thought leadership.
