Key Responsibilities- Prepare treatment rooms for patients by following established protocols and procedures.
- Assist patients with dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, and positioning them for procedures.
- Provide information to patients and staff by answering questions and requests.
- Prepare and deliver instruments to treatment areas, ensuring proper sterilization and positioning.
- Provide diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies, pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts.
- Maintain patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations and cleaning removable appliances.
- Help manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and emergency supplies.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
- Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and protect operations by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
- X-ray license
- Experience working as a Dental Assistant or training from a formal Dental Assistant program
