Situated in the picturesque Northern Michigan, this area attracts numerous tourists and history enthusiasts from around the world.

Role Summary

We are in search of a seasoned, driven, and meticulous Operations Director to become a vital part of our team. This full-time, year-round role encompasses the management of daily operational activities, which includes overseeing docks, vessels, vehicles, properties, managerial staff, and customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise all operational facets, including docks, vessels, and activities across the straits of Mackinac, Mackinac Island, Mackinaw City, and St. Ignace.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the vessel, passengers, crew, and cargo.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to crew members.
  • Exhibit superior judgment and performance in high-pressure situations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain knowledge and compliance with U.S. Coast Guard regulations governing passenger vessel operations.
  • Monitor and report on key operational metrics.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience as an Operations Director or in a comparable role.
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership capabilities.
  • Self-motivated and proactive individual.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other business software.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
  • Willingness to undergo and pass alcohol and drug testing as required by the U.S. Coast Guard.
