About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician III - HVAC Specialist to join our team at Sovah Health - Danville. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Maintenance: Troubleshoot and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including chillers, cooling towers, and air handling units.
  • Equipment Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment, including refrigeration units, ice machines, and pneumatic and electrical control systems.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Tool Maintenance: Maintain all tools and test equipment in good working order.
  • Supply Management: Order parts and supplies necessary for HVAC shop needs.
  • Training and Development: Supervise training of General Maintenance Technicians in HVAC and refrigeration fields.
  • Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of repairs, preventative maintenance, and equipment checks.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with facility and department safety policies at all times.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum ten (10) years experience in HVAC in lieu of Master/Journeymen's Card.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Master/Journeymens card & Certificate in Universal Refrigeration Transition and recovery.
  • Skills: Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
