Job Title: Senior Automation Engineer

Maxar Intelligence Inc is seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer to join our team in Westminster, C. As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automation playbooks and modules to implement hardening controls and manage configuration tools in various environments at different accreditation levels.
  • Upgrade, support, and optimize automation tools to create a highly available, resilient, and self-healing environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with automation tools and their implementation, recommending and implementing changes to enhance, stabilize, and secure their ongoing operation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and develop solutions to improve infrastructure efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able and willing to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance
  • At least two years of software development or infrastructure engineering experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or two additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
  • Ability to be on call on a rotating basis
  • Previously demonstrated experience in Linux system admin experience
  • Experience using and/or administrating a variety of open-source technologies
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
  • Familiarity with one of all of the following Bash/Python/Perl/Ruby
  • Ansible Tower or AWX writing
  • Ansible playbooks and roles
  • Satellite and Puppet
  • Windows system admin experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active U.S. security clearance
  • PowerShell training
  • SCCM Group policy Imaging baselines OS Repositories
  • Experience implementing compliance standards (eg STIG, CIS, NIST)
  • Cloud environment experience (AWS, Azure, GCP or other)
  • Experience using Ansible, Satellite, Ubuntu Landscape or equivalent technologies.
  • CI/CD experience would be preferable.
  • Git experience
  • Agile development experience
