Job Title: Construction Project Surveyor Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Permanent Field Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on-site surveying and layout of all project work to ensure construction is in alignment with design and planning. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth execution of our construction projects, and as such, requires a meticulous individual with a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform and oversee field surveys, including topographic, boundary, and construction layout surveys.
  • Interpret construction project plans and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient construction layout.
  • Create and maintain ISOs, log weld maps, and turnover packages.
  • Perform regular checks and updates on survey equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction crews to ensure all work is carried out according to design plans.
  • Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.
  • Document all surveying activities and maintain accurate records for future reference.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the construction process.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior surveyors and other team members.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Construction Surveyor or Field Surveyor, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Proficient in the use of modern survey equipment, including GPS, total stations, and data collection technology.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction project plans, ISO creation, log weld maps, and turnover packages.
  • Solid understanding of OSHA safety regulations and the ability to enforce these on-site.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex plans and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to various project sites as needed.

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000 per year
