Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to join our new development team. As a key member of this team, you'll play a critical role in driving the growth and success of our business. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining a large-scale Ruby on Rails application, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a large, mature Ruby on Rails application
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of this Ruby on Rails application and other software platforms used across multiple products
  • Collaborate with other engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Ruby code
  • Develop and maintain complex, multi-schema PostgreSQL databases
  • Design, implement, and maintain GRPC and REST APIs
  • Write and maintain automated tests to ensure high software quality
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience using Ruby on Rails in a business environment
  • Strong experience using the PostgreSQL database
  • Experience collaborating in a team environment
  • Proficient knowledge of web application architecture
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with developing and optimizing customer-facing APIs
  • Experience with newer API technologies, such as GraphQL and/or GRPC/Protobuf
  • Experience using AWS cloud-computing components such as Lambda, API Gateway, etc.
  • Experience with different programming paradigms and design patterns
