Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Hi-Tek Manufacturing Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing process improvements, optimizing production workflows, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with production control to ensure timely delivery of components and products.
  • Design and implement tooling layouts and concepts to optimize machine performance.
  • Investigate and resolve non-conforming parts and material issues.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve quality.
  • Provide training and support to machine operators and machinists to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Participate in the conception and design of complex work-holding fixtures and gages.
  • Assist in the identification and correction of programming issues that lead to non-conformances.
  • Provide time studies, router, and job cost review to ensure standards are up to date and in line.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Technology, Engineering, or related field, or 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Practical experience using CAD/CAM software, such as Siemens NX or SolidWorks.
  • Working knowledge of machine tools and their capabilities.
  • Desire to develop automation for various machine tools and part handling systems.
  • Prior experience with complex shapes and their work holding requirements.
  • Prior experience with super alloy metals preferred.

  • Ability to perform under AS9100 standards.
  • Leadership skills to provide guidance and support to others.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Working Conditions
  • Will climb stairs multiple times per day.
  • Will sit, stand, or walk distances for up to the entire duration of shift.
  • Will lift, push, or pull 35 lbs. on an occasional basis.
  • Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping to move and set tools, equipment, and material.
