Veterinary Assistant Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Highland Animal Hospital in Fayetteville, North Carolina. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering top-notch medical services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with animal restraint and patient care
- Support veterinarians with medical procedures and exams
- Greet clients and patients, answering phone calls and responding to inquiries
- Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; veterinary experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation and ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends
