Position Summary: As a Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering tailored therapy services under the guidance of a licensed Physical Therapist. Your contributions will be vital in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver physical therapy services as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist, ensuring adherence to the patient's individualized treatment plan.
  • Engage in regular discussions with the Physical Therapist to monitor patient progress and address any concerns or adjustments needed in the treatment approach.
  • Assist in the upkeep and sanitation of therapy equipment and treatment areas to maintain a safe and effective working environment.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
  • Effectively communicate patient needs and progress to the supervising Physical Therapist, facilitating the acquisition of necessary adaptive equipment to enhance patient functionality.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a current, unrestricted license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support or cardiopulmonary resuscitation, in compliance with state regulations.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of rehabilitation methodologies, particularly for complex neurological conditions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on professionalism.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
