Healthcare Professional for Student Wellbeing

The Stratford Public Schools are seeking a skilled School Nurse to provide health services and support the education process. The successful candidate will work closely with students, parents, and staff to facilitate optimal physical, mental, emotional, and social growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver nursing and health services according to established standards and protocols.
- Coordinate and manage healthcare needs of students, ensuring their health and wellbeing are prioritized.
- Administer medications as prescribed and follow state-mandated policies regarding medication administration.
- Maintain a safe environment by storing medications and supplies properly in the health office.
- Provide initial care for on-job injuries and submit necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
- Evaluate and implement strategies to promote student health and wellbeing.
- Empower students to take ownership of their health needs and advocate for themselves.
- Collaborate with community providers to ensure comprehensive care for students.
- Document and maintain accurate records of student health information, including cumulative health records and monthly statistics.

Requirements:- Current CT Registered Nurse License
- Demonstrated expertise in human growth and development of children and adolescents

- Able to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Strong computer skills and ability to adapt to new technology
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including students, parents, and staff
