Manufacturing Operations Leader

Key Responsibilities- Monitor and Confirm Manufacturing Standards: Ensure that our manufacturing operating system standards are being applied and adhered to throughout the area.
- Facilitate Results Process: Utilize standard processes and tools to facilitate results and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop and Coach Teams: Develop, coach, and support teams to achieve SQDCPME objectives and drive excellence in manufacturing.
- Coach and Teach: Coach, teach, and provide feedback on resolution of abnormalities and validate closure of concerns.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement on systemic abnormalities to prevent reoccurrence and maintain production flow.
- Plan Maintenance Tasks: Plan maintenance tasks, monitor completion, and drive improvement and/or coaching opportunities.
- Adhere to Time and Data Management: Adhere to and modify Time & Data Management to promote a continuous improvement mindset and activities in the team.
- Plan FTPM Activities: Plan FTPM activities to improve area performance and drive excellence in manufacturing.
- Drive Work Plans: Drive the creation and coordination of work plans, ensure the team is executing, and evaluate the effectiveness of work plans.
- Implement Revisions and Improvements: Plan and implement revisions and improvements to meet new standards as the manufacturing operating systems mature.
- Enable a Culture of Learning: Enable a culture of learning through effective communication skills, recognition, and coaching to team members.
- Create a Conducive Work Environment: Create a conducive work environment for teams to complete their assigned responsibilities and tasks.
- Mentor and Nurture Teams: Mentor, nurture, and develop teams to own working together, modeling Ford values and expected behaviors.
- Develop and Provide Feedback: Develop and provide feedback for Process Coach professional development.
- Create a Zero Tolerance Environment: Create a zero-tolerance environment and reaffirm team members' respect for each other.
- Create a Proactive Performance-Driven Culture: Create a proactive performance-driven culture that listens, reacts, and supports to capture the hearts and minds of people.
- Recognize Team Accomplishments: Proactively recognize teams' accomplishments and improve morale.
- Ensure Administrative Responsibilities: Ensure basic administrative activities are completed, as required.
- Support Issues Raised by Teams: Support issues raised by teams and plan and manage changes to the system.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical Field: A bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical field is required.
- 5+ Years of Maintenance Experience: 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Tenure Working in a Production Environment: Tenure working in a production environment is required.
- Strong Ability to Interface: A strong ability to interface with plant hourly, salaried personnel, and plant management is required.
- Strong Ability to Present: A strong ability to present in front of plant management is required.
- Ability to Teach Ford Production System Principles: The ability to teach Ford Production System principles is required.
- Union Negotiations Experience: Union negotiations experience is preferred.
- Competent in Data for Decision Making: Competent in the use of data for decision making is required.
- Ability to Communicate Effectively: The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, is required.
- Ability to Work Effectively as Part of a Team: The ability to work effectively as part of a team is required.
- Excellent Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to resolve diverse problems are required.
- Ability to Work Well Under Pressure: The ability to work well under pressure and to be able to work under crisis management when necessary is required.
- Ability to Work and Multi-Task in a Fast-Paced Environment: The ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment is required.
