Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customer freight is planned for on-time pickup and delivery, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively communicate daily capacity needs and opportunities to fleet managers and customer service teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Work closely with operations personnel to execute network optimization plans, eliminating long-term and short-term imbalances, and ensuring customer service commitments are met.
  • Review drivers' Hours of Service Logs for available hours, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Assist in managing trailer pools in designated markets, optimizing resource allocation.
  • Maintain direct contact with organization members to coordinate and increase the efficiency of driver, truck, and trailer assignments.
  • Maximize utilization by minimizing dwell under loads, identifying opportunities to re-appoint loads and convert to drop trailer pools with customers.
  • Understand area customer KPIs, including trailer pool requirements, service numbers, commitments, and lanes/volume and transit.
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities that improve financial performance and service levels, enhancing the value proposition for internal and external customers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or logistics or equivalent.
  • Three years of experience in motor carrier operations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to maintain high accuracy in preparing and entering information.
  • Maintain a positive attitude with drivers, staff, and supervisors.
  • Must be a team player and strong leader with excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to organize, direct, and manage multiple tasks in a changing complex environment and have effective stress and time management skills.
