Respiratory Therapist - Whittier Health Network
Part-Time Position - 24 hours/week, Evening Shifts
Compensation: $40.00 per hour with additional differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively as an essential member of the healthcare team, utilizing your expertise to help patients achieve their therapeutic goals.
- Conduct thorough evaluations, maintain accurate documentation, and develop treatment plans under physician supervision.
- Administer comprehensive respiratory care, including mechanical ventilation management, arterial blood gas analysis, oxygen and aerosol therapies, airway maintenance, and pulmonary hygiene techniques.
- Dispense prescribed respiratory medications, ensuring awareness of their effectiveness, potential side effects, and contraindications.
- Utilize specialized knowledge in geriatrics and rehabilitation to enhance patient care.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care.
- Active licensure from the appropriate regulatory body.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in adult rehabilitation and geriatric patient care.
