Job Title: Advanced Sales Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Sales Director to join our team at Securian Financial Group. As a key member of our sales leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing advanced sales strategies to drive business growth and revenue.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement advanced sales plans to support business growth and revenue targets
  • Lead and manage a team of senior sales consultants to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute sales strategies and tactics
  • Provide technical expertise and training on advanced sales concepts and planning strategies to sales teams and clients
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure Securian Financial Group remains a leader in advanced sales solutions
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Must hold either a J.D. or CPA designation
  • FINRA Series 7, 24 and 66 (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
  • 5+ years previous experience in the financial services industry with a focus on advanced sales and planning
  • Deep knowledge of advanced sales concepts and planning strategies
  • Strong partnership mindset with an aptitude for developing effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills to handle multiple assignments and requests simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex strategies and financial concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Maintains presence and stays current in the greater estate, business, financial products, and financial planning community
  • Initiative, self-awareness, and orientation for results
  • Strong knowledge of individual life insurance, annuity, trust, financial planning, executive benefit, and/or linked benefit products
  • Strong attention to detail, with an ability to perform quickly and accurately under pressure
  • Creative and flexible mindset and a willingness to change priorities when necessary
  • Ability to handle cyclical work volumes with a pleasant and professional demeanor
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time
  • Proficiency in educating and training financial professionals on products, procedures and software used in Advanced Sales plan design and financial planning
  • Ability to work with others in a collaborative team environment
