We are seeking a highly skilled Music Therapist to join our team at Intermountain Healthcare. As a Music Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing clinical and evidence-based music therapy services to patients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Music Therapy Interventions
- Design and deliver music therapy programs tailored to individual patient needs
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless integration of music therapy services
- Manage Resources and Supervise Staff
- Effectively manage time, staff, and budget to ensure efficient delivery of music therapy services
- Supervise music therapy interns as available
- Communicate Effectively with Healthcare Teams
- Promote open communication with medical teams, nursing staff, and other family support service departments
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to promote music therapy services
- Develop and Refine Music Therapy Programs
- Conduct research to identify best practices for achieving desired clinical outcomes
- Develop and refine music therapy programs to meet evolving patient needs
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of AMTA-approved coursework in Music Therapy
- Two years of experience in a clinical setting
- Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of child development milestones related to chronic illness and hospitalization
- Board Certification as a Music Therapist (preferred)
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
