Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain lathes, milling machines, and ovens.
  • Utilize handheld tools and machinery effectively.
  • Accurately measure for cutting or shaping materials.
  • Select the correct machinery and settings for specific tasks.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of mechanics, technicians, and engineers to resolve complex aircraft challenges.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and safety protocols, participating in professional development and training.
  • Promote a culture of safety by adhering to established protocols and raising awareness among team members.
  • Assess and plan repair projects requiring fabrication.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as necessary.
  • Support inventory management efforts.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret blueprints, manuals, engineering drawings, and other technical documents.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity, with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Applications.
  • Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a passion for aviation.
  • Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed, with prior notice.
  • Fluency in English is required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an aviation technician, either military or civilian.
  • Demonstrated experience in aviation fabrication and machining within a machine or sheet metal shop.
  • Experience with measuring tools (e.g., calipers, gauges, thermometers, micrometers, and scales).
  • Familiarity with Part 135 or Part 121 regulations is a plus.
  • Understanding of Part 145 compliance is advantageous.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in an aircraft hangar environment, which may be hot, cold, dusty, or noisy.
  • Comfortable working with malodorous liquids and oils.
