Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our partner's production team. This role involves operating and maintaining various machinery, including lathe, milling, and oven machines, to support aircraft maintenance and repair. The ideal candidate will have experience in aviation fabrication and machining, along with a strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain lathe, milling, and oven machines.
  • Use handheld tools and machinery to cut or shape materials with precision.
  • Select appropriate machines and settings for specific tasks.
  • Evaluate and scope repair projects requiring fabrication.
  • Collaborate with mechanics, technicians, and engineers to address complex aircraft issues.
  • Provide inventory management support and perform shipping and receiving duties as needed.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols and promote a culture of safety among team members.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and safety procedures through professional development activities.
  • Work closely with a diverse team to ensure high-quality work and efficient processes.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by displaying enthusiasm and a passion for aviation.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an aviation technician, either in military or civilian settings.
  • Proven experience in aviation fabrication and machining, particularly in a machine or sheet metal shop.
  • Proficiency in using measuring tools, such as calipers, gauges, thermometers, micrometers, and scales.
  • Familiarity with Part 135 or Part 121 operations is a plus.
  • Understanding of Part 145 compliance is advantageous.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed with prior notice.
