Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool team at Trident Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and achieving positive outcomes in our Med Surg and ICU departments.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain overall accountability for assigned patients, ensuring their needs are met and their care is coordinated.
  • Assess, evaluate, plan, implement, and coordinate treatment plans to achieve patient goals.
  • Manage efficient patient flow, including screening, preparation for exams, providing general nursing care, and arranging or testing and admissions.
  • Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
  • Maintain and review patients' records, including posting tests and examination results.
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
  • Check rooms daily for necessary supplies.
  • Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when needed.
Requirements
  • Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required.
  • Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
  • A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required.
  • Must have at least: two (2) year full time equivalent Acute Care RN experience in designated area.
