We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Payment Poster to join our team at Sonic Healthcare USA, Inc. As a Medical Payment Poster, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our medical billing and posting processes.
Key Responsibilities- Post ERA, paper remits, and reconcile deposits to postings for all insurance carriers
- Review EOBs and/or insurance correspondences to process or forward claims to the denials team
- Enter all incoming payments for patient accounts from various sources, including live checks, daily cash, and ERA
- Identify and communicate discrepancies in payments received
- Maintain documentation of cash transactions and perform a reconciliation of prior day's daily deposits
- Research unidentified payments for proper posting and work NSF/returns after obtaining proper documentation
- Update patient accounts to reflect adjustments made
- Re-bill claims as needed
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Medical Billing Certification, a plus
- Cash Posting experience required
- Strong computer skills with proficiency or knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Coding Certification, a plus
- Laboratory experience, a plus
- At least one year experience in Medical Billing, posting experience a plus
- Competitive salary range: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
