King County is seeking a highly skilled Technology Contracts Attorney to join our team in the Contracts Section. As a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, you will provide legal advice to County departments on a wide range of issues related to the procurement and administration of contracts for goods, services, and information technology products.
Key Responsibilities- Advise County client agencies on technology contracts, intellectual property issues, and other general legal matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contract terms and conditions.
- Draft, revise, and review procurement documents, e.g., Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
- Advise clients on procurement-related issues, e.g., bidder questions, protests.
- Advise clients on contract administration and enforcement issues.
- Advise clients on IP-related issues, including drafting cease and desist letters.
- Advise clients on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) process.
- Commence or defend the County in litigation related to contractual and/or IP disputes.
- Advise clients on general legal issues.
- Member in good standing with the Washington State Bar.
- At least 2 years of technology-related legal experience in either the public or private sector.
- Strong client relations skills, great communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and strong negotiation and litigation skills.
- Strong commitment to race, equity, and social justice, including the development of personal cultural competency.
- Competitive salary range: $112,073 - $155,091 commensurate with 2-15 years of experience.
- Hybrid/in-person schedule as business needs allow, subject to a telecommuting agreement.
- County-issued laptop and internet connection for remote work.
