Position Summary
We are seeking dedicated SAT and Regents Examination Tutors to support our high school-aged members. Education is a primary focus of our mission, and we prioritize providing opportunities for our members to access higher education. The tutors will be responsible for preparing instructional materials, delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress through pre- and post-tests, and maintaining a constructive learning atmosphere. Classes may include both group instruction and individual tutoring sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Customize SAT and Regents curriculum to align with the needs of students.
- Organize and update instructional materials regularly.
- Adjust the pace of lessons to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Create an interactive and supportive classroom environment.
- Prepare students for the challenges of the SAT and Regents exams.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of SAT and Regents testing formats and schedules.
- Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in test preparation, particularly for SAT and Regents.
- Expertise in relevant subject matter and experience working with a diverse population.
- Demonstrated high achievement on standardized tests.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to motivate students to achieve their best performance.
Skills and Competencies
Strong organizational skills, effective planning and delivery of educational content, leadership, teamwork, and proficient written and oral communication abilities.
