Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated SAT/Regents Prep Tutor to support our high school members in their academic pursuits. Education is a fundamental focus of our organization, and we prioritize providing opportunities for our members to access higher education. The SAT/Regents Prep Tutor will be responsible for preparing instructional materials, delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress through pre- and post-tests, and maintaining a supportive learning atmosphere. While classes may involve multiple students, individual tutoring sessions will also be part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Customize SAT and Regents preparation materials to cater to the unique needs of students.
• Organize and update all instructional resources effectively.
• Deliver course content at a pace that accommodates all learners.
• Create an interactive and positive classroom environment, fostering strong relationships with students.
• Ensure students are well-prepared for the challenges of the SAT and Regents exams.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SAT and Regents test formats, schedules, and requirements.
• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in test preparation, particularly for SAT and Regents.
• Expertise in relevant subject matter and experience working with diverse groups of young males.
• Documented high achievement on SAT, Regents, or similar standardized assessments.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities, with effective classroom management skills.
• Capability to motivate students at various academic levels to excel.

Strong organizational skills, effective planning and design capabilities, commitment to quality, leadership, teamwork, and proficient written and oral communication.
