Cedarhurst Senior Living, a dedicated provider of healthcare services for older adults, is seeking a committed and service-oriented individual to join our team as a Housekeeper.

In this vital role, you will have the chance to engage with our residents and make a meaningful difference in their daily lives. Collaborating closely with the Environmental Services Director, you will ensure that our community spaces are well-maintained and welcoming.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, laundry, and waste disposal.

Adhering to a structured cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) for designated areas, including resident apartments, communal spaces, restrooms, and administrative offices.

Managing the collection and laundering of soiled linens in compliance with health and hygiene standards to safeguard the wellbeing of our residents and staff.

Sorting, folding, and distributing clean laundry as required.

Communicating supply and equipment needs to your Supervisor and ensuring that supplies are restocked as necessary.

Coordinating with maintenance to report any repairs needed during your shift.

Fostering effective communication among community staff and residents' families regarding residents' care, addressing their physical, personal, and emotional needs.

Working collaboratively with colleagues and following management directives while also taking the initiative to resolve conflicts involving residents, families, and staff as necessary.

The physical requirements for this position include:

  • Occasionally standing, moving, communicating, and interpreting written information.
  • Occasionally climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and lifting or moving up to 50 pounds independently; occasionally lifting or moving up to 200 pounds with assistance.

Additional duties may be assigned to meet the needs of residents and the community.

To qualify for the Housekeeper position, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping is preferred.
  • CPR or BLS certification is preferred.
