Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our team at Perkins Restaurant & Bakery - CyHawk Hospitality Inc. in Ankeny. As a Host/Cashier, you will provide exceptional customer service, manage the flow of business in the dining room, and ensure a positive dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide friendly and efficient service to guests, ensuring their dining experience is highly satisfactory.
  • Manage the flow of business in the dining room, controlling the flow of guests and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Check out guests at the register, handling cash and credit transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Anticipate and identify system breakdowns, taking corrective action to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.
  • Assist servers and bus persons in executing service standards, ensuring 100% guest satisfaction on every visit.
  • Communicate with Manager on Duty and coworkers regarding product/service deficiencies, equipment, safety problems, and other issues.
Requirements
  • Ability to work well under pressure, managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, servers, and other team members.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit transactions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
