Position Overview

The Clinical Therapist is responsible for exhibiting proficiency in conducting both group and individual therapy sessions, performing comprehensive assessments, and developing effective treatment plans utilizing SMART goals. This role requires the ability to complete clinical documentation promptly and to collaborate effectively with the lead therapist as well as medical and administrative teams to ensure optimal patient care. A deep understanding of psychoeducation, crisis intervention, case management, and substance abuse treatment is essential for success in this position.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to deliver exemplary care.
  • Facilitate both group and individual therapy sessions.
  • Conduct patient assessments as clinically necessary.
  • Introduce patients to the treatment program's guidelines and procedures.
  • Build and maintain rapport with clients.
  • Set SMART goals with each patient and track their progress.
  • Perform initial assessments and develop individualized care plans, focusing on the comprehensive management of health, substance abuse, and mental health treatment.
  • Maintain required licensure and certifications, completing necessary continuing education units (CEUs).
  • Provide external referrals as clinically appropriate.
  • Report to the lead therapist for supervision and guidance.

Qualifications

  • A master’s degree in counseling or a related discipline.
  • Preferred licensure as a clinician (LPC-MHSP, LCSW).
  • Applicant evaluation will consider:
    • Relevant experience in the field.
    • Educational qualifications: Master’s degree or higher in social work, counseling, or a related area.

Work Environment
This position operates within a professional treatment setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The clinician should also be available to assist their clinical team as needed.

Compensation
Salary is competitive and will be determined based on experience and educational background.
