We are seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse to join our Radiation Therapy Department in Poughkeepsie, NY. As a key member of our team, you will provide professional care and assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ongoing and systematic assessments of patients' physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status.
  • Formulate a goal-directed plan of care, prioritized and based on determined nursing diagnoses and patient outcomes.
  • Implement care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent, and continuous manner.
  • Establish priorities of patient care based on essential patient needs and available resources.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of care given and patient progression toward outcomes.
  • Identify patients' and significant others' learning needs and implement appropriate measures to meet them.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary functions.
  • Fulfill all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse
  • Associates Level Degree
  • Chemotherapy Bio Therapy Certification
  • Minimum Experience: zero to six months
  • Desired: BSN
Working Conditions
  • Manual: significant manual skills/motor coordination and finger dexterity
  • Occupational: significant occupational risk
  • Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force
  • Physical Environment: significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
