Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Vancouver, Washington. This position will serve various public and private clients within PBS's existing portfolio and provide opportunities for highly motivated candidates to develop new client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and administer medium to large transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Estimate and budget labor hours for design projects; review job costing reports and take corrective action, as necessary.
  • Provide leadership in the design of efficient and constructable civil projects.
  • Establish and maintain client relationships; ensure client satisfaction and ensure that client objectives are met.
  • Participate in business development opportunities.
  • Participate in professional organizations and functions.
  • Mentor young design professionals.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering and professional registration (P.E) in Washington and/or Oregon.
  • 10+ years' experience as a consulting engineer providing design and project management of local agency or state transportation projects.
  • A solid understanding of civil design and construction standards, and environmental conditions / constraints.
  • A proven history of meeting project timelines and budgets.
  • Demonstrated skills developing relationships with local municipalities and utilities.
  • Familiarity with local code requirements.
  • Ability to develop creative engineering solutions to address project constraints.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff and management.
  • Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation InRoads, HyrdoCAD, WWHM2012.
