We are seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Spanish Interpreter to join our team at Propio Language Services. As an Onsite Spanish Interpreter, you will play a crucial role in bridging the language gap for our clients in the Harrisonburg, Virginia area.
Job SummaryThis is a unique opportunity to utilize your language skills and make a meaningful impact in the lives of others. You will provide consecutive interpretation services in person and virtually, ensuring seamless communication between patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide consecutive interpretation services in person and virtually for various clients, including medical, legal, and social services.
- Follow interpreter protocols and procedures as required by Propio L.S. clients.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, and/or regulatory requirements or policies and standards.
- Establish and maintain quality service and positive interaction with all patients, customers, visitors, health care providers, and clinical employees.
- Continuously improve vocabulary and specialized subject matter knowledge, as required for various clients.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Possess intermediate level computer skills.
- Have access to reliable transportation.
- Be able to provide documentation of updated vaccinations (dependent on location, federal and local regulations, and business policies).
- Successfully complete a drug test and background check & security screen.
- Acknowledge a signed commitment to confidentiality, adherence to ethics, and HIPAA compliance.
- Hold 1+ year(s) of interpreting experience.
