Responsibilities:
- Execute tasks specified on the repair order efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards.
- Conduct test drives and utilize diagnostic tools to assess vehicle components and systems.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair various automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
- Communicate with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed about additional services needed and provide time estimates for repairs.
- Perform warranty repairs following manufacturer specifications.
Qualifications:
- ASE certifications required within one year of employment.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with ASE Certification preferred.
- Strong automotive background; GM training experience is a plus.
- Excellent mechanical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Strong customer service skills and basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Willingness to learn modern technology and repair procedures.
- Valid Driver's License and successful completion of pre-employment drug screening.
- Must be at least 18 years old and have a clean driving record.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and both indoor and outdoor conditions.
- Must be able to perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Capability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and stretch as needed.
- Ability to see small objects in low light conditions.
