King City Union School District is currently seeking qualified Classified Substitutes to cover various positions as needed. In this role, you will provide instructional support and supervision to students in a classroom setting.

Job Description:

The Classified Substitute will be responsible for performing a variety of duties including but not limited to:

  • Providing instruction and supervision to students in the absence of a regular teacher
  • Maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment
  • Administering and grading assignments and tests as necessary
  • Communicating with parents and other school staff as needed

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an educational setting
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of educational software
  • Ability to pass a background check

Other Information:

In order to be eligible for this position, applicants must possess a valid California teaching credential or be enrolled in a credential program. A Food Service Worker Exam will be required to be passed prior to hire. All substitutes are required to complete an application packet which includes a resume, letter of introduction, and letters of recommendation.
