Job Summary:

As a Nursing Care Specialist at Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall, you will provide basic nursing care tasks for designated patients under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with the ability to follow written directions and record information using high school level literacy skills. Visual and auditory acuity, as well as the ability to read, write, and communicate in English, are also essential. Successful completion of a Nurses Aide program or equivalent is required. Additionally, one year of patient care experience is necessary, preferably in a hospital environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

Provide basic nursing care tasks for designated patients under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
