General Surgeon

Overview

Atrium Health is a leading community-focused academic healthcare system serving North Carolina and South Carolina. We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our Surgery Care and Women's Health Divisions with clinical practices in Concord, North Carolina.

The successful candidate will work alongside General Surgeons, communicating with practice as needed regarding patient care needs. They will cover the general and acute care surgery inpatient service and outpatient clinic, with shifts on weekdays and the possibility of weekends.

Responsibilities will include assisting in the OR with traditional, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery cases, performing minor surgical procedures, and teaching APP students. The ideal candidate will have a DEA license, be eligible for prescriptive authority, and possess critical thinking and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

Must have a Master's Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice for Nurse Practitioners, or a graduate degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Certification from a nationally recognized certifying body is preferred.
