Opportunity Overview

Atrium Health invites skilled Advanced Practice Providers to join our Surgery Care and Women's Health Divisions in Concord, North Carolina. As a key member of our team, you will work alongside General Surgeons, collaborating with practice staff to ensure seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide thorough history and physical assessments, general perioperative and postoperative management.
  • Evaluate, assess, implement plans, and monitor co-morbid medical conditions secondary to surgical illness or injury.
  • Work on the inpatient surgical service and outpatient clinic, covering general and acute care surgery.
  • Assist in the OR with traditional, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery cases, performing minor surgical procedures.
  • Teach APP students and contribute to the growth and development of our team.

Requirements:

  • Must have or be eligible for a DEA license.
  • Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of North Carolina.
  • Eligible for prescriptive authority application through the Board of Nursing or Medical Board in NC.
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA required with expiration date greater than 90 days from date of beginning practice.
  • Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS preferred.

Education and Certifications:

  • Nurse Practitioner: Master's Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required, with certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body.
  • Physician Assistant: Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required, with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
