Job Overview
HED is seeking a highly skilled Mission Critical Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work on technology portions of mission-critical projects, collaborating with discipline leads and project managers to meet client expectations, adhere to project budgets, and stay responsive.

About the Role
This position requires a deep understanding of NFPA, EIA/TIA BICSI, IEEE, ASIS, and AVIXA standards. You will design and support information technology, electronic safety and security, and audio-visual system projects from planning stages to completion. Your expertise will ensure that systems meet or exceed internal and external client expectations.

Responsibilities
• Design and implement information technology systems, including structured cabling, public address/intercom, digital signage, access control/intrusion detection, video surveillance, and clock systems
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to discuss project requirements, design concepts, and system operations
• Develop designs that meet client functional and budgetary requirements
• Evaluate project managers' schedules and deadlines to ensure they are realistic and attainable
• Work closely with internal disciplines to provide design and pricing proposals
• Communicate known issues and offer solutions to owners, architects, and coworkers

Requirements
• Registered Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD) designation preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of NFPA, EIA/TIA BICSI, IEEE, ASIS, and AVIXA standards
• Data center design experience
• Working knowledge of building automation systems and power management systems
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate efficiently across geographies

Salary and Benefits
