Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at The Ritz-Carlton. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment and systems
  • Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Conduct visual inspections of tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working order
  • Identify and locate shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and requisition parts as needed
  • Communicate daily activities and any issues that arise to other shifts using approved communication programs
  • Display knowledge and skills in areas such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry
  • Perform surface preparation, painting, and minor drywall and wood trim repair as needed
  • Test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, plumbing, and electrical components
  • Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties
  • Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work
  • Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping and external sprinkler systems
  • Display basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting preferred
  • Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus
  • Driver's license required
