Job Title: Swim Instructor I

At the YMCA of Metro Atlanta, we're seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Swim Instructor I to join our team. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons to our members, promoting water safety, and fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Instruct swimming lessons to individuals and groups, following YMCA guidelines and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with members, volunteers, and colleagues, promoting a sense of community and inclusivity.
  • Conduct water safety presentations and demonstrations, emphasizing the importance of swimming skills and water awareness.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and incident reports, as required.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
Requirements:
  • At least 16 years of age.
  • YMCA Swim Instructor certification or equivalent.
  • CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen certifications.
  • Intro to the Y's Cause and Culture, Living our Cause & I Hear you. Service with Care e-learning within the first 30 days.
