Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Wheelchair Van Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation services for patients traveling to doctor's appointments, physical therapy, or other medical treatments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe and efficient transport of patients in the ambulette as scheduled by dispatch.
  • Assist patients to and from the ambulette and ensure their safety during transport.
  • Operate the ambulette in accordance with company driving standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Record transportation logs, obtain patient documentation, and complete all required forms.
  • Conduct regular ambulette inventory and equipment testing to ensure proper operation.
  • Report and document any needed repairs to the maintenance department and management.
  • Comply with all FCC regulations and company policy when utilizing electronic communications equipment.
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed from the purchasing department.
  • Perform general safety and proper operations checks, including fluid checks, tire checks, horn checks, and fuel checks.
  • Maintain the ambulette, including washing and waxing the exterior, cleaning the interior, re-fueling, and checking the oil.
  • Provide basic life support and first aid or CPR in emergency situations to patients.
  • Attend all mandatory staff meetings as scheduled.
Requirements:
  • Current and valid state driver's license.
  • Current CPR certificate.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
