Job Title: Diagnostician

Clifton Independent School District is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostician to join our team. As a Diagnostician, you will play a critical role in assessing the educational, learning styles, and program needs of students referred to special education services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess students' educational needs and develop individualized plans to support their learning.
  • Collaborate with instructional personnel to provide the most appropriate instructional programs for students with disabilities.
  • Administer formal and informal assessments to determine student eligibility for special education services.
  • Compile and evaluate comprehensive student information, including classroom observations, personal interviews, and relevant assessment data.
  • Consult with parents and teachers regarding the educational needs of students and interpretation of assessment data.
  • Coordinate Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee meetings and ensure compliance with state, federal, and district procedures.
  • Develop and coordinate a continuing evaluation of the assessment program and recommend changes based on findings.
  • Meet all timelines associated with assessments and ARD meetings, as well as all elements of relevant State Performance Plan (SPP) indicators.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in educational assessment or a related field.
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate and Texas educational diagnostician certificate.
  • Knowledge of current diagnostic procedures, special education laws/regulations, and human development.
  • Experience with assessment software and equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
