Job Summary

Under general supervision, the role involves dismantling, adjusting, reworking, repairing, decontaminating, and assembling equipment in accordance with assembly drawings, schematics, and procedures, while understanding compliance requirements. The position is responsible for upholding quality and safety standards, as well as Lean manufacturing principles.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Complete and maintain quality and assembly documentation as required.
  2. Participate in and uphold 6S events and follow-ups.
  3. Engage in daily management boards as applicable.
  4. Conduct inventory transactions and ensure inventory accuracy.
  5. Accountable for the daily completion of the NCE process.
  6. Audit and validate current NPI procedures.
  7. Work effectively in a controlled Clean Room environment, if applicable.
  8. Collaborate within a team environment.
  9. Perform necessary equipment maintenance.
  10. Adhere to all work safety regulations and guidelines.
  11. Participate in cross-training to meet scheduling needs.
  12. Independently identify root causes of moderately complex assembly issues promptly.
  13. Meet or exceed production, quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
  14. Contribute to special projects as requested.
  15. Be available for overtime to meet production schedules as needed.
  16. Exemplify and deliver exceptional performance daily.

Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate degree in Electronics Technology or relevant work experience is preferred.

Experience:

Knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) is advantageous. Proficiency in using basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, torque tools, crimpers, soldering equipment, multi-meters, and oscilloscopes is essential. Experience in optical mechanical assembly, including bonding of optical components, is beneficial.

A general understanding of ISO13485, 21CFR820, GMP, and applicable MDD requirements is preferred. Familiarity with cleaning and handling optical components is also advantageous.

Ability to read and interpret electro-mechanical assembly drawings, procedures, schematics, and blueprints is required. Following written procedures to maintain GMP compliance and ISO 13485 certification is crucial.

IPC Certification is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Outlook, Agile, and SAP is necessary. Candidates must be able to read and understand English and communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally.

Team collaboration is essential to achieve quality, safety, and productivity goals. Attention to detail and accuracy are critical.

The physical requirements for this position include:

  • Sitting, using hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls.
  • Standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying products weighing up to 45 pounds.
  • Potential exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and moderate noise levels.
  • Potential exposure to hazardous chemicals or materials.
  • Compliance with safety shoe policies in designated areas.
  • Potential exposure to blood.
