Respiratory Therapist

Our Pulmonary Department is seeking a per diem Respiratory Therapist-PFT to perform therapeutic, diagnostic, and monitoring services in the Pulmonary Function Laboratory. In accordance with a physician's order, the Respiratory Therapist-PFT performs procedures with a degree of independent clinical judgment.

The Respiratory Therapist-PFT maintains safe operation, calibration, maintenance, and quality control of the equipment used in the Pulmonary Function Laboratory. This critical member of the patient care team collaborates fully with other care team members to ensure continuity of care for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform therapeutic, diagnostic, and monitoring services in the Pulmonary Function Laboratory
• Maintain safe operation, calibration, maintenance, and quality control of equipment
• Collaborate with care team members to ensure continuity of care
• Provide patient-focused care in all interactions

Requirements:

• Associates Degree or equivalent
• Registered Respiratory Therapist license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPT) certification preferred or obtained within six months
• Basic Life Support level for Health Providers certification required
• 1-2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience as an RRT in a hospital or physician office
• 6 months to 2 years of experience as a Pulmonary Function Technologist
