Respiratory Therapist Job Description

Holyoke Medical Center is a leading healthcare provider in the Pioneer Valley, dedicated to delivering quality patient-centered care for over 125 years.

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team, providing respiratory care services to patients with cardiopulmonary insufficiencies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional care and a commitment to maintaining and improving competencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide respiratory therapy services in clinical and community settings
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Maintain and improve competencies in respiratory care
  • Meet the requirements for registration as a Registered Respiratory Therapist from the National Board of Respiratory Care
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an A.M.A. approved program
  • Current registration as a Registered Respiratory Therapist from the National Board of Respiratory Care
  • Current license within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Current CPR certification
  • Current NRP certification within three months of employment
