Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Treatment Specialist to join our team at Wedgwood Christian Services. As a key member of our residential treatment program, you will play a vital role in providing daily care, counsel, and supervision to adolescents in our care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Daily Care and Supervision: Ensure the physical and emotional well-being of residents, including performing bed checks, documenting accurate records, and creating a therapeutic milieu.
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Programs: Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of client treatment programs, including therapy, employment training, and activities.
  • Monitor and Document Resident Behavior: Observe and monitor client behaviors, document accurate records, and hold residents accountable using established agency interventions.
  • Provide Medication Administration and First Aid: Dispense medications at prescribed intervals and provide first aid or CPR as needed.
  • Transport Residents and Maintain a Clean Environment: Transport residents as needed and participate in maintaining a clean and orderly living environment.
  • Participate in Supervision and Team Meetings: Regularly participate in supervision meetings and team meetings for the sharing of ideas, feedback, and department planning.
Qualifications
  • English Language Proficiency: English speaking required; Spanish speaking highly preferred.
  • Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age.
  • Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent required; additional education and/or certification in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field preferred.
  • Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Vaccination Requirements: Must meet federally funded program vaccination requirements, including Varicella, MMR, DTaP, and Influenza.
  • COVID-19 Regulations: Adhere to quarantine protocols and wear PPE as required.
  • Statement of Faith: Subscription to the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Services and agreement with the goal, purpose, and objectives of the agency.
