We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Education Assistant to join our team at Upstate Cerebral Palsy. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and education to children with special needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in Classroom Activities: Provide support to our lead teachers in planning and implementing engaging and educational activities for our students, ensuring their individual needs are met and their goals are achieved.
- Classroom Maintenance and Support: Participate in maintaining a safe and organized classroom environment, including setup and cleanup of materials and equipment, and providing assistance with personal care and hygiene.
- Training and Development: Assist in training and orienting new staff members, ensuring a smooth transition and effective onboarding process.
- Lunch and Float Aide: Assume the duties of lunch and float aide, providing support with mealtime and ensuring the smooth operation of our daily routines.
- Therapy Support: Collaborate with our therapists to implement therapy goals and objectives, providing support and assistance as needed.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Experience working with children or coursework in early childhood education preferred.
